ONAI began in a one‑room studio with two pairs of hands and a single skein of pink cotton yarn. Today, every ONAI piece is hand‑crocheted by women artisans across India — in Punjab, Lucknow, Jaipur, Kutch, and Kolkata.

We work directly with our crafters: no middlemen, no shortcuts. Each tote takes between 50 and 90 hours to complete. They are paid for time, not piece. They sign their work.

We are unapologetically vibrant, unapologetically slow, and unapologetically Indian. We don't do fast fashion. We don't do synthetic fillers. We don't do drop shipping. We do bags that look better with you than they did on day one.
